The story behind 1NV3NT
Born on service calls. Built to solve everyday challenges.
1NV3NT began with a familiar problem: an A/C technician spending too much time trying to connect different vacuum hoses to different-sized PVC pipes. The workaround was a bag full of adapters, reducers and duct tape.
That experience led to Drainado. Starting in 2016, more than 30 prototypes were tested to develop a durable, multi-size connection that could simplify the job.
Our mission is to turn practical ideas into products that solve everyday challenges. Today, the range includes drain-maintenance tools, capacitor-mounting accessories and ductwork tools—with Drainado available through Refrigeration Technologies.

Looking for Drainado?
Our distribution partner can help with current products, pricing and where to buy.
Where can I buy Drainado now?
Drainado is now available through our master distributor, Refrigeration Technologies. It is no longer sold directly through 1NV3NT. Visit their website to browse current Drainado products and purchasing information.
Can I still buy other 1NV3NT products directly?
Yes. The featured N7 PLUG, EZ CAP and DUCT MATE products link to their existing 1NV3NT store pages. Select your available options there, add them to your cart and continue through the existing checkout. Drainado has a separate purchasing route through Refrigeration Technologies.
What is the difference between the two EZ CAP models?
Both are capacitor-mounting accessories—not drain caps. Screw-On secures with two screws, while Magnetic uses an epoxy-coated N52 magnet to attach to metal panels. Both have zip-tie slots and allow flexible capacitor positioning. Choose your pack and zip-tie options in the store.
Will Drainado fit a 1-1/2″ vacuum hose?
Not directly. Drainado’s listed hose sizes are 1-1/4″, 1-7/8″ and 2-1/2″. Check your vacuum’s supplied adapters or ask the distributor about a suitable connection.
Does Drainado work with 1/2″ PVC pipe?
Not on its own. The existing product guidance describes using a 3/4″ × 1/2″ Schedule 40 PVC reducer bushing to adapt to 1/2″ pipe. Confirm the fit and any additional parts you need before purchasing.
Will it work with Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC?
Yes. Schedule 40 and 80 PVC have the same outside diameter for a given nominal size. Drainado fits over the outside of the pipe. See the pipe dimensions guide for supported sizes and measurements.
Can I use a tapered vacuum hose end?
Many vacuum hoses can be reversed so the flat end connects to Drainado and the tapered end connects to the vacuum. Check your specific hose and vacuum for a secure fit.
Can I leave Drainado permanently attached?
No. It is designed to slide onto a hose and pipe temporarily during use. Do not permanently secure it with glue, metal clamps or tie wraps. Use wet/dry vacuums only, not regular household vacuums.
Frequently asked questions
No, 1-1/2″ vacuum hoses are the least common and most vacuums sold today come with an adapter to change the hose sizes.
Unfortunately it does not unless you buy a $0.31 3/4″ x 1/2″ Schedule 40 PVC Reducer Bushing. This fits directly inside the Drainado then it will connect to 1/2″ PVC pipes.
Yes, Schedule 40 & 80 PVC pipes have the same outside diameter. Since the Drainado fits over the outside diameter of each pipe, it will work for both schedules.
Yes, most vacuum hoses can simply be flipped around so the flat end that normally fits into vacuum port and the tapered end will slide into vacuum port instead.
An A/C drain line is a crucial component of your air conditioning system, responsible for channeling away the condensation that forms as the system cools the air. As warm air passes over the evaporator coil, it cools and moisture condenses, creating water that needs to be removed efficiently to prevent it from pooling around the unit. The drain line ensures this water is properly directed outside or into a drainage system, helping maintain optimal humidity levels and prevent any water-related issues within your home or business.
Maintaining the A/C drain line is essential for the efficient operation of your air conditioning system. A clogged or poorly maintained drain line can lead to water leaks, resulting in potential water damage and mold growth around the unit. Additionally, it can cause the system to work harder, reducing its efficiency and potentially leading to increased energy costs and wear on the unit. Regular inspection and cleaning of the drain line help to prevent these problems, ensuring your air conditioning system operates smoothly and effectively.
Choosing the right drain pipe for your home involves considering several key factors to ensure optimal performance and longevity. First, evaluate the material options available, such as PVC, cast iron, and ABS, each having distinct advantages for different applications. PVC is lightweight and resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for many residential settings. Cast iron is durable and soundproof, often used for main pipelines. ABS is sturdy and suitable for underground installations. The intended use and environmental conditions, such as exposure to sunlight or harsh weather, also play roles in determining the best material for your needs.
Consulting with a plumbing professional can provide tailored advice based on your specific situation. They can assess your home’s layout, water flow requirements, and local building codes to recommend the most suitable option. Additionally, a professional can help you consider any environmental impacts of the pipe materials, ensuring you choose not only the right pipe for your functional needs but also a sustainable option for your home and the environment.
Using an AC drain pipe cleaner offers several benefits that can significantly enhance the performance and longevity of your air conditioning system. One of the primary advantages is its ability to prevent clogs in the drain line, which can lead to water leaks and potential damage to your home. Regular cleaning helps remove algae, mold, and other debris that can build up over time, ensuring that the condensate is effectively drained away from the unit.
In addition to preventing clogs, using a drain pipe cleaner can improve the overall efficiency of your AC system. When the drain line is clear, the unit doesn’t have to work as hard to remove moisture, which can lead to reduced energy consumption and lower utility bills. Moreover, maintaining a clean drain line can extend the lifespan of your AC unit by reducing strain on the system and minimizing the risk of water-related damage. By incorporating regular drain cleaning into your AC maintenance routine, you ensure optimal performance and long-term reliability of your cooling system.
An a/c drain pipe is a component of an air conditioning system designed to remove excess moisture that is created during the cooling process. When your air conditioner cools the air, it also dehumidifies it, causing water to collect as condensation on the unit’s evaporator coil. This moisture then flows into a drip pan and is directed out of your home through the a/c drain pipe. By efficiently channeling the water away, this pipe helps maintain proper system function and prevents water damage inside your home.
Proper maintenance of the a/c drain pipe is crucial to avoid issues like clogs, which can lead to water leaks and potential damage. Over time, dirt, mold, or algae can build up inside the pipe, obstructing the flow of water. Regularly flushing the pipe or having it cleaned by a professional can ensure it remains clear. Keeping the drain pipe in good condition not only protects your air conditioning system but also contributes to a clean and efficient cooling process.
An a/c drain pump is designed to remove excess water that accumulates in an air conditioning system. During the cooling process, moisture from the air condenses on the system’s evaporator coil. This water typically drains into a drip pan. However, in situations where gravity alone cannot move the water to an exterior drain line—such as in basements or areas without a downward slope—a drain pump is used to actively pump the water away.
The pump is equipped with a reservoir that collects the water as it drains into the pan. Once the water reaches a certain level, a float switch activates the pump, which then pushes the water through a discharge line to a safe drainage location. This ensures that moisture is effectively removed, preventing overflow, leaks, or water damage. Proper maintenance, such as cleaning the pump and checking for clogs in the discharge line, is key to ensuring it works efficiently and reliably.
